Kasama, September 30, 2019, ZANIS---Mwamba Moto Moto Cultural and Actors Group of Kasama district has called on the need for Zambians to preserve the country's tradition through arts and culture.

Group Chairperson Patrick Mwila has told ZANIS in an interview in Kasama that Zambians must at times protect its unique tradition which has been practiced since time immemorial.

Mr Mwila said the documentation of such important information will enhance tourism in Northern Province as well as preserve culture for the benefit of future generations.

He explained that there is need to mix tradition with other forms of modern advancement in the promotion of the tourism sector in the country.

Meanwhile, Mr Mwila is appealing for financial assistance from well-wishers towards the promotion of the group's cultural film.

Mr Mwila said the group has numerous ideas which if well supported will sell the region's heritage potential to the outside world.

He has since called for stakeholder involvement in publicising the group's debut film.

The film dubbed "Moto moto afika mulubemba" was released in 2012 but has not seen air play due to financial challenges faced by the group.
