Mumbwa, July 11, 2019, ZANIS---Mumbwa Town Council has procured a Water Bowser at a cost of 800 thousand kwacha using the 2018 Constituency Development Fund(CDF) from two constituencies.

Council Chairperson Gracious Hamatala  said this during the stakeholders meeting yesterday, that Mumbwa and Nangoma constituencies have contributed  250 thousand kwacha each while the rest is coming from the local authority’s funds.

Mr Hamatala explains that it is the responsibility of the local authority to provide services such as road maintenance and this can only be achieved by having good equipment.

The Council Chairperson adds that the roads in the district were all gravel and there is need for a water bowser to suppress the dust.

He adds that the dust has been a health hazards to resident hence the need for a bowser to compact the soils.

This is in addition to the tipper truck and a grader which has already been procured from the previous funds.
