Lufwanyama, October 16, 2019, ZANIS----Chieftainess Shimukunami in Lufwanyama district on the Copperbelt Province has hailed government for encouraging the introduction of chaplains in chief’s palaces across the country.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Lufwanyama ahead of National Day of Prayers and Fasting, the traditional leader says the move has helped to Foster Christianity among traditional leaders.

She observed that the development has also helped promote unity of purpose between traditional leadership and members of the clergy who in most cases shun to even attend traditional ceremonies.

Chieftainess ShimukunamI who is also a member of house of Chiefs has since called on other traditional leaders to embrace Christianity in their leadership.

She further thanked government for continue promoting Christian values across the country.

Chieftainess Shimukunami said her palace has since engaged chaplain in line with president Lungu's advice.

The Chieftainess emphasised that this will make people understand that every leadership comes from God and continue seeking for his guidance all the time.
