Mbala, November 9, 2019, ZANIS---Mbala District Commissioner, Kedrick Sikombe,  has commended government for rehabilitating Lunzuwa Farm Training Centre in the district.

Disclosing that government last year released K3.7 million towards the rehabilitation of the training institute, Mr Sikombe further disclosed rehabilitation works on the center has progressed with over 90 percent of the works done so far.

The institute will enable farmers in the area to learn new agriculture skills such as conservation farming methods, which government is preaching about.

ZANIS reports that the District Commissioner said this in Mbala district yesterday shortly after touring the centre.

Mr. Sikombe observed that it is commendable that government has rehabilitated the structures that have never been rehabilitated since they were built in 1968.

Among the structures that have received face lift includes two classroom block, three dormitories, conference room and others.

He has since challenged the people of Mbala and Northern Province in general to utilize the institute in acquiring new skills in farming.

Mr Sikombe further noted that the institution will also be allowing various organisations to be holding workshops, which are aimed at boosting agriculture.
