Mwinilunga, October 16, 2019, ZANIS....Chiwoma community members in Chief Chibwikas area of Mwinilunga district are appealing to Zambia Information,Communucation and Technology Authority (ZICTA) to work on the communication tower which developed a fault  eight months ago.

Speaking on behalf of the community in Mwinilunga today Danson Talazheyi said the situation needs to be urgently addressed as it has hampered mobile communication in the area.

ZANIS reports that Mr Talazheyi saying in a statement today that the area has a population of 7457 people who currently have no mode of communication due to a faulty mobile network transmitter.

He said the community has a lot of public institutions such as a rural health centre, an agriculture camp and three primary schools which depends on telecommunication.

Mr Talazheyi said its now difficult for the rural health centre to access an ambulance in case of emergencies especially maternal from Chibwika rural health centre which is about 35 kilometres away.

He said pupils at the secondary school section are also unable to conduct e- learning lessons after receiving computers from ZICTA due to non-availability of communication network depriving the learners from the facilities.
